The high pines of the local forest create a natural cathedral of light. In "Wood Trails," the focus is on the rhythmic verticality of the trunks and the way mid-afternoon sun carves deep, cooling shadows across the forest floor.
Dappled Sunlight: Brilliant patches of light hit the trail, creating a high-contrast pattern that mimics the feeling of walking through shifting temperatures. You can almost feel the transition from the warmth of the sun-spots to the cool dampness of the shade.
Vertical Rhythm: The towering, slender trunks are rendered with warm, earthy tones, their repetitive forms drawing the eye upward toward the unseen canopy and deep into the heart of the woods.
Textured Pathway: The trail itself is a rich mix of reddish-brown earth and scattered pine needles, captured with visible brushwork that gives the ground a tactile, grounded feel.
Forest Solitude: This study captures the peaceful, airy atmosphere of a managed woodland, where the air smells of pine resin and the only sound is the soft crunch of the path underfoot.

Die hohen Kiefern des heimischen Waldes bilden eine natürliche Kathedrale aus Licht. In „Wood Trails“ liegt der Fokus auf der rhythmischen Vertikalität der Stämme und der Art und Weise, wie die Nachmittagssonne tiefe, kühlende Schatten auf den Waldboden zeichnet.
Gesprenkeltes Sonnenlicht: Brillante Lichtflecken treffen auf den Weg und erzeugen ein kontrastreiches Muster. Man kann den Wechsel zwischen der Wärme der Sonnenplätze und der kühlen Feuchtigkeit des Schattens förmlich spüren.
Vertikaler Rhythmus: Die hoch aufragenden, schlanken Stämme sind in warmen Erdtönen gehalten. Ihre repetitiven Formen führen den Blick sowohl nach oben in das dichte Grün als auch tief in das Herz des Waldes.
Strukturierter Pfad: Der Weg selbst besteht aus einer Mischung aus rötlich-brauner Erde und verstreuten Kiefernnadeln. Die sichtbare Pinselführung verleiht dem Boden eine greifbare, erdige Qualität.
Waldige Stille: Diese Studie fängt die friedliche, luftige Atmosphäre eines Nadelwaldes ein, in dem die Luft nach Harz riecht und das einzige Geräusch das leise Knirschen des Bodens unter den Füßen ist.
